
Job Purpose:
To carry out MIG welding tasks on various metals and components, ensuring precision, strength, and durability according to engineering drawings and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform MIG welding on mild steel, stainless steel, or aluminum components as per specifications.
• Read and interpret fabrication drawings, welding symbols, and technical instructions.
• Carry out pre-weld preparation including cleaning, clamping, and aligning materials.
• Inspect welds for accuracy, defects, and compliance with standards.
• Maintain welding machines, torches, and tools in safe working condition.
• Ensure all work complies with safety and quality standards.
• Collaborate with fitters and fabricators to complete projects.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Technical diploma or certificate in welding.
• Minimum 2–5 years’ experience in MIG welding.
• Strong knowledge of welding techniques, shielding gases, and filler materials.
• Ability to read blueprints and measure accurately.
• Good hand–eye coordination and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of safety practices and PPE usage.
