Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Adobe Certified Magento Developer to join our Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with Magento 2 / Adobe Commerce, with strong expertise in backend development, system architecture, API development, integrations, and performance optimization.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing scalable Magento solutions, building custom modules and extensions, optimizing application performance, implementing secure development practices, and supporting the long-term evolution of an enterprise-grade eCommerce platform.

This position is ideal for a technically strong Magento professional who enjoys solving complex engineering challenges, writing clean and maintainable code, and working on scalable, high-performance eCommerce platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Magento 2 Development

• Design, develop, customize, and maintain Magento 2 modules and extensions.
• Build scalable backend solutions following Magento coding standards and best practices.
• Implement custom business logic while ensuring maintainability and extensibility.
• Develop reusable components and services across the platform.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks.

Magento Architecture

• Design and implement scalable and maintainable Magento architectures.
• Apply Service Contracts, Dependency Injection (DI), Plugins, Observers, Events, Repositories, Factories, and Extension Attributes effectively.
• Build modular and loosely coupled applications.
• Apply SOLID principles and Magento architectural best practices.
• Maintain clean, well-documented, testable, and maintainable code.
• Contribute to technical architecture and solution design decisions.

API & GraphQL Development

• Develop and customize Magento GraphQL APIs.
• Design custom GraphQL queries and mutations.
• Develop custom GraphQL resolvers and schema extensions.
• Optimize API response times and overall API performance.
• Build APIs to support headless commerce implementations.
• Integrate REST and GraphQL services with third-party platforms.

Performance Optimization

• Identify and resolve application and infrastructure-level performance bottlenecks.
• Optimize PHP code and database queries.
• Improve MySQL/MariaDB query and database performance.
• Configure and optimize Magento Full Page Cache (FPC).
• Optimize Varnish Cache, Redis, and Edge Side Includes (ESI) where applicable.
• Improve indexing performance and cache utilization.
• Monitor application performance and implement appropriate optimization strategies.

Platform Maintenance & Upgrades

• Perform Magento/Adobe Commerce version upgrades.
• Apply Adobe Commerce security patches and updates.
• Manage Composer dependencies and package upgrades.
• Ensure backward compatibility during upgrades.
• Troubleshoot upgrade-related issues and maintain application stability.
• Support deployment and release cycles.

Third-Party Integrations

• Integrate payment gateways, shipping, logistics, and other external services.
• Develop integrations with ERP, CRM, and enterprise platforms.
• Maintain marketplace and vendor integrations.
• Troubleshoot integration issues and improve system reliability.
• Ensure integrations follow appropriate security, scalability, and error-handling practices.

DevOps & Deployment

• Work with Docker-based development environments.
• Manage Composer packages and dependency updates.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
• Participate in release planning and deployment management.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to improve deployment automation and reliability.
• Work with Git-based version control and related development workflows.

Collaboration & Technical Leadership

• Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, DevOps teams, product managers, and other stakeholders.
• Participate in sprint planning, estimation, and technical discussions.
• Conduct peer code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.
• Mentor junior and mid-level developers.
• Contribute to technical documentation and architectural decisions.
• Promote best practices in Magento development and software engineering.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Current and verifiable Adobe Commerce certification is mandatory, such as:
  • Adobe Certified Professional – Adobe Commerce Developer, or
  • Adobe Certified Expert – Adobe Commerce Developer
• Minimum 8 years of hands-on Magento 2 / Adobe Commerce development experience.
• Strong expertise in PHP 8.x and Magento 2 architecture.
• Proven experience developing custom Magento modules and extensions.
• Strong understanding of:

• Proficiency with Git and Docker.
