Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Hardware Executive to oversee the organization’s end-to-end IT hardware infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in hardware troubleshooting, end-user support, IT asset lifecycle management, procurement planning, vendor coordination, inventory management, and budget control. This role is responsible for ensuring high availability, reliability, and cost-effective management of IT hardware while delivering exceptional technical support and maintaining compliance with organizational policies.

Key Responsibilities

IT Infrastructure Management

  • Manage, maintain, and support the organization’s complete IT hardware infrastructure, including desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, biometric devices, networking equipment, and other IT assets.
  • Ensure maximum uptime, optimal performance, and security of all hardware systems.
  • Coordinate installation, configuration, upgrades, preventive maintenance, and replacement of IT equipment.
  • Monitor hardware performance and recommend technology refreshes to improve efficiency and reliability.

Technical Support & Troubleshooting

  • Provide first and second-level technical support to end users across the organization.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, operating system, printer, peripheral, and network connectivity issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows operating systems, software applications, and user accounts.
  • Ensure timely resolution of IT support requests while adhering to defined service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Escalate complex technical issues to appropriate vendors or higher-level support teams when required.

IT Procurement & Planning

  • Plan and forecast IT hardware requirements based on business needs and organizational growth.
  • Prepare technical specifications, obtain quotations, and evaluate vendors and hardware solutions.
  • Recommend hardware based on performance, lifecycle, compatibility, and total cost of ownership.
  • Support annual IT procurement planning and budgeting activities.

Vendor Management

  • Coordinate with OEMs, hardware vendors, and service providers for procurement and technical support.
  • Manage warranty claims, Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs), and service requests.
  • Monitor vendor performance to ensure compliance with agreed service levels and delivery timelines.
  • Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and service agreements to achieve cost efficiency.

Asset & Inventory Management

  • Maintain accurate records of IT assets throughout their lifecycle, from procurement to disposal.
  • Track asset allocation, movement, repairs, maintenance, and retirement.
  • Conduct periodic physical asset verification and inventory audits.
  • Maintain optimal stock levels of spare parts, consumables, and accessories to minimize operational downtime.

Budget & Cost Management

  • Assist in preparing and managing the annual IT hardware budget.
  • Monitor procurement expenditures and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
  • Ensure effective utilization of IT assets while maintaining quality and operational efficiency.
  • Generate cost analysis reports to support management decisions.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for IT assets, licenses, warranties, purchase records, and service history.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational IT policies, security standards, and audit requirements.
  • Prepare periodic reports on hardware utilization, inventory status, procurement activities, vendor performance, and support metrics.
  • Support internal and external IT audits by maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, laptops, desktops, printers, scanners, and peripheral devices.
  • Expertise in Windows OS installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Good understanding of networking fundamentals, including LAN, Wi-Fi, TCP/IP, switches, and routers.
  • Experience in IT asset lifecycle management and inventory control.
  • Knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and contract administration.
  • Ability to prepare budgets, analyze hardware costs, and optimize IT expenditures.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer support abilities.
  • Proficiency in documentation, reporting, and Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related discipline.
  • Professional certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), or equivalent will be an added advantage.
  • 3–6 years of experience in IT hardware infrastructure, end-user support, and asset management is preferred.

This position is ideal for a mid-level IT Hardware Executive who can independently manage end-to-end IT hardware operations, infrastructure support, procurement, vendor relationships, and asset management while ensuring business continuity, operational efficiency, and excellent user experience in a growing organization.
